Never mind Black Friday. Wal-Mart's getting a jump on the holiday sales season starting November 7, and the deals are already looking good. The company's first big sale begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 7 and runs through Friday, November 13. Today it's pre-announcing what those deals are: - $298 HP Notebook Computer - 3GB memory, 160GB hard drive, Windows 7 Home Premium - Sharp 1080p HDTVs - 42" for $498, 46" for $698 (120 Hz), 52" for $898 (120 Hz) - Panasonic 46" 1080p plasma HDTV for $788 - Xbox 360 Arcade Console $199 with $100 Wal-Mart Gift Card (for use on future purchases; minimum store quantities are at least 10 per store) - $148 Sony Blu-ray player (model #BDP-S360) - $29 Magnavox upconverting DVD player (model #DP170MGXF, 1080p) Quantities are limited (read: sellouts are likely) and products are limited to two per shopper. Again, these are in-store deals only and aren't available online. You can however find additional information and specs on each product at this site, which will be updated with the latest sales throughout the holiday season. The deals look pretty good so far... but are even better bargains on the horizon? Desperate to jump-start the economic situation with a solid 2009 holiday season, retailers may pull out all the stops this year, and the sales could be better than ever. Black Friday looms, of course. Stay tuned for Yahoo! Tech's coverage of all things high-tech and on-sale, as we'll try to highlight the best deals we find on the blog.
